Child's Play, and new beginnings

I just had lunch with my friend Gabby, and was reminded of a story of how I got started on Streets Ahead. My child had a play date with "Snow Tiger" a friend of hers. I cut up a whole lot of coloured paper into triangles and said - "Let's see what you guys can make with these?" Well they got stuck in as only kids can, slapped it together, and then got bored and went to climb on the roof. I found watching them really frustrating - they were just not getting it! So is sat down and made this collage - I guess it was the first sketch of the whole series of 30 works which followed... I has been bitten.
